Today is officially the last day of school! Days like today rustle up all kinds of ideas of summer vacation: Sunshine, swimming, backyard BBQ’s, staying up late, county fairs, fireworks and the like. However, if you stepped outside today you’d be likely to think it’s the start of a fall break or Christmas vacation perhaps. So as I was mowing this morning {only because the lawn care company promises to come fertilize tomorrow} I began to ponder my situation. Ear warmer on my ears, winter coat and gloves. Hmmm…. you can laugh or you can cry. Not sure which this will evoke, but here goes!
It’s the start of summer vacation when…
1. You’re more likely to get frost bite than sun burn while mowing!
2. Your baseball/softball practice gear not only includes bat and glove, but hat and gloves!
3. The 4H kids don’t want Gatorade and cookies after riding, but are hoping someone brought hot chocolate and marshmallows!
4. Your best shot at a tan line is improperly applying your self-tanner!
