Getting Caught Up

We have absolutely been enjoying our Christmas break.  It's going way too fast and I can't believe tomorrow is New Year's Eve!  I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and are enjoying the season!  Here are a few updates from our home sweet home:

We had a wonderful time in Disney World.  There were tons of people, but it was totally worth the long lines and learning to be patient.  We rode lots of rides {I didn't ride as many as my adventurous kids!}, saw great shows, met lots of princesses and characters, and ate way too much food that wasn't good for us.  Building memories, people.  That's what it's all about : 0 )

This is the castle at Magic Kingdom.  It was beautiful and the lights and fireworks were unbelievable!  This was my favorite park.

Mickey!
Minnie!

The Princesses:

Belle

Cinderella

Rapunzel

Sleeping Beauty

Mulan

After I got the Christmas tree down and all the decorations put away, I spent one whole afternoon editing Disney photos and adding them to a photo book.  I thought ordering a photo book would be better than printing off a bunch of photos and putting them into an album.  I can't wait to get it!

Here's proof that my tree is actually down and things are "back to normal":

I finally took some time to clean up a "vintage" Tater Twister my friend Dawn got me at an auction.  They had one and Farmer absolutely loved making homemade fries with it.  After a little research, we found out it was a pricey item, so when she saw it on an auction, she scored it for only $1!  Bring on the taters!

I worked on Friday and it was great to be there.  It was a busy day and since it had been so long since I last worked, there were tons of new things to see.  Boss Lady was there, too and when we had a spare moment we had a little "Flashback Friday."  Who else remembers these?!?

My necklace was pink and it was definitely my favorite thing.  I can't remember all the charms I had, but I know I had a record charm!  So cool.

I tried this new and super easy hair-do on Makenna this morning.  {I'm using the term morning loosely here, because I was still in my pajamas when I did it.  I got these lovely long flannel pajamas from Mom and Dad for Christmas and it's sooo hard to get dressed now!}  Anyway, the hair.  It's totally simple and we both think it will hold up to a whole day of whatever Makenna does.  You could omit the braids at the bottom and I still think the bun would be pretty.

I'm trying a new recipe for Banana Bread today.  It has peanut butter and Reese's mini peanut butter cups in it. {Say wha?!?}  The kitchen smells wonderful.  I hope it turns out!

Here's the recipe it you want to try it, too.

I had a Spider man cake to do over the weekend for Farmer's cousin.  His birthday is on New Year's Eve, but they are celebrating today.  Hope he likes it!

There has also been some coyote hunting, getting together with friends, online shopping {Christmas gift cards!}, LAUNDRY!, ipad playing,  and movie watching going on around here.  The snow has been falling and so are the temps outside...I think it may be time to head south again ; 0 )

Hope you all have a very
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
