Just Stuff...

Do you ever feel like not being very productive?  Today is one of those days for me.  I don't care if I don't get anything done.  I know it's not a good thing, but at least I'm taking time to blog and that's something I haven't done in quite awhile!  So today since I don't feel productive, I'm gonna tell ya what's been going on.  Sound good?  Here goes:

 

 

Farmer's birthday was last Saturday.  I never know what to get him, so I got him the good ol' stand-by:

 

Smells so good, trust me. 

 

 

It ended up raining on Friday night late/ Saturday morning early so Cargill was closed all weekend.  They didn't have much corn left to pick, but it ended up that the guys got the weekend off.  To celebrate Farmer got himself a new phone Saturday afternoon.

 

 

 

I now have phone envy.  It's a real thing, trust me.

I got some yesterday on my weekly pilgrimage to Walmart.  It's super good.  Apparently it's only  offered around this time of year.  I'm gonna stock up.  It's good, trust me.

 

 

 

Like I said earlier, the guys are almost done with harvest this year. I took a little time to snap some photos of all their hard work and even got in a little combine time myself.  Here are some of the pictures I took last week.

 

 



It's going well and they're doing a great job, trust me.

 

 

I had some cakes to do for my parent's neighbors last week. They were celebrating their 50th Anniversary. I forgot to take a picture of the main cake...duh.  Anyway, here's a pic of one of the sheet cakes.

 

 

I tried something new with the individual decorations.  I made royal icing "50"s and then painted them with gold luster dust.  They didn't quite turn out gold enough, so I airbrushed with some yellow. The customer was happy and so was I, trust me.

 

 

 

I usually take a little time each morning to read a daily devotional or two.  This was one of today's readings and it was totally meant for me.  Trust me.
